On September 27, 2005 I visited Cameron about 1 month after the storm hit.  There was still water in the streets, but the Army National Guard had cleared most of the debris from the major highways.  It was piled high along these routes, in people's yards and all over the surrounding wetlands.

On March 10, 2006 I went back to some of the same places.  Much debris is gone, but the town and surrounding area still looks likes a bomb went off. Note the side by
side photographs taken about 6 months apart.
